Why this story endures

Ballistics, audio analysis, and Sirhan Sirhan's memory remain central to claims of a second gunman.

At its strongest, the theory argues that the familiar account leaves a meaningful remainder: testimony, timing, documents, physical details, or institutional behavior that cannot be comfortably absorbed by the standard explanation. That remainder is the proper object of investigation—not proof by itself, but the reason the file stays open in public memory.
