Does institutional science reject telepathy and precognition on evidentiary grounds—or because the implications are too disruptive?

At its strongest, the theory argues that the familiar account leaves a meaningful remainder: testimony, timing, documents, physical details, or institutional behavior that cannot be comfortably absorbed by the standard explanation. That remainder is the proper object of investigation—not proof by itself, but the reason the file stays open in public memory.

• Are secrecy and missing records ordinary for the institution and era, or genuinely anomalous here?
